Callas Vaughan-Dixon, LCPC

I am a Maryland Board Certified Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) that has a well-rounded background, and several years of experience being a helping professional. I have experience working within the community with adults and adolescents that have difficulty managing symptoms related to anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), personality disorders, difficulty with interpersonal relationships, those suffering from chronic or terminal illnesses, and issues relating to diversity and inclusion. The first approach I take in therapy is to build a rapport and healthy communication with the client, which is imperative for the therapeutic relationship, then I have a variety of different modalities I can chose from that will best fit the need of each individual I work with. I love helping individuals live the life that is best for them, and I believe that helping people is not only my passion but my purpose. It’s time to unpack the invisible backpack of stuff, and together we can figure out what’s the healthy solution to getting to your best life.

Jamila McKinney, LGPC

I am a San Diego native, proud mother of three who is a Maryland Board-Certified Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor.  Adding to what you already have, our time will be spent doing what I call “adjusting the lens”: adding more depth—more clarity to whatever has been difficult to identify.  I specialize in creating a safe non-judgmental  space to assist and support those working through intergenerational trauma, abandonment/attachment issues, depression, anxiety, marital challenges, and overall life issues. Your experiences and your story matters. My belief is, in life “it doesn’t matter how you start, it matters how you finish.” The goal is to help you to see just how powerful you are, identify the strengths you have within, and bring those forward to accomplish your therapeutic goals.

I offer limited face-to-face options in Bowie, Md.
